COTTON, III, AS A SPECIAL POLICE PARK RANGER FOR THE PLAZA AT ROSS'S LANDING, TO DO SPECIAL DUTY AS PRESCRIBED HEREIN, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _______________ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That William R. Cotton, III, be and is hereby appointed as a special police park ranger for the Plaza at Ross's Landing, subject to certain conditions and restrictions: 1. That said special police park ranger shall have, possess and exercise every power granted by the statutes of the State of Tennessee or the City of Chattanooga to regular police officers of the City of Chattanooga necessary in the performance of their duties. Such powers and performance of duties by said special police park ranger is expressly limited to the performance of duties with the Plaza at Ross's Landing and do not empower said ranger to go armed. 2. That said special police park ranger shall be considered as a civilian employee of the Department of Safety, and shall not be entitled to benefits afforded regular police officers of the City. 0C 3. That such appointment shall expire upon termination of said special police park ranger's employment by the City of Chattanooga.
